We had our swingset at our old house. We had a friend store it in her backyard when we moved to the apartment since we had no yard at the time. We moved into our new house. New house, bigger backyard. The boys kept asking when their swingset would get here. Ken kept putting them off.
"They won't play on it. They are getting too old." he would say to me.
I don't care. I don't care if they only play on it for a month when it gets here. They want it here. I want it here. I want my 10 and 8 year old to be able to play on it as long as they want. There will be a time when they won't play on it because they are too old. They aren't too old now. They can use it as a fort. As a clubhouse. As a place to just get away from us or each other. They can go in there and read their books or draw pictures.
It's finally here. A year later. And it makes me happy to see it. A reminder of my little boys that love to play.
